We make Boxes and Toys

I custom make boxes and toys one at a time by hand. All of the designs that you see on these pages are what each customer and I have worked on to design. I am very passionate about the things that I make and love to be creative with my customers. What happens quite often working with my customers is a design process that leads to a new product. I am very excited about this process and I trust that my passion will show thru and into the box or toy that you desire. Making new boxes and toys is a passion for me.

Artist Statement A design engineer by trade and second-generation visual artist, my boxes and toys are inspired by the examination of design and also in the toys, from my childhood memories. Each design presents a new learning experience. The favorite box or toy almost always being the one I just finished. Working in wood exclusively, and the construction is a process accomplished with continuous input from customers that slowly build to a new product.

"I think it started with a small piece of wood, retrieved from our backyard in Michigan, which was later carved into a toy. The next project was a school project lamp. The lamp evolved into many other projects, including a full-grown totem pole for my brother's Boy Scout troop. We were the children of two professional artists and were made very familiar with the creative process at a young age.
